Moondial

Moon-dial pocket watches can come in two different formats presented on the dial. The first is that the sun shows on the dial during the daylight hours and the moon is visible on the dial during the evening and night. The second are the moon dials which work off the different phases of the moon. It takes 29.5 days to go through the complete cycle, this is known as a Lunar Month, and this is displayed on the dial.
